Rob is a skilled, dedicated, and versatile business lawyer for over three decades. Having served as Assistant General Counsel to United States Small Business Administration in Oklahoma City, his practice continues to emphasize corporate, business, litigation, administrative, trust, and tax matters for clients, including those in highly regulated industries. He assists clients in forming, structuring, acquiring, disposing of, operating, and liquidating all types and sizes of business entities in a variety of industries.

Rob’s clients include for profit and nonprofit corporations, all kinds of partnerships and limited liability companies and involve general business matters, asset protection, estate planning, and business succession issues. Rob frequently speaks at business, litigation, estate planning, and legal education seminars, and is an Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business, Master of Science in Energy Legal Studies.

Rob has always been a servant leader in school, work, community, and civic affairs. Rob continues to serve in a number of elected and appointed leadership roles on a national, state, and local level, and excels at working with management teams at all levels in organizational development and strategic planning.

Rob moved from Maryland with his family at 8 years old, and grew up in north Oklahoma City’s rural bedroom community of Deer Creek. He was active in leadership roles in academics, sports, and music at Deer Creek High School, where his three daughters would later graduate. Always a hard worker, he worked summers with his brothers in their own firewood business and later worked in the north Edmond residential development and home construction industry for a highly regarded family firm. Later during his college summers, Rob worked for Parker Drilling, Inc., one of the world’s largest oil and gas drilling contractors.

Rob attended Oklahoma State University and received a degree in political science from Brigham Young University. From there, he studied law at the University of Oklahoma and was part of the law studies program at Oxford University, Queen’s College in Oxford, England, where he met Carilyn Vidaillet, his future partner in both life and law. Both Rob and Carilyn obtained their law degrees from the University of Oklahoma.

Rob is an active outdoorsman and continues to pursue his childhood passion of falconry, the ancient form of hunting with trained raptors after wild quarry. Rob is a federal and state licensed Master Class Falconer, and has sponsored a number of apprentice falconers in this challenging sport. Rob also continues to enjoy trail running and hiking on a daily basis.
